I'm setting up a new system for ad hoc query. The basic data store is hbase. I wanna a fast query when our other clerk send the query request for minute level query. I use phoenix on hbase to query, and I set up a secondary index, but when I use join operation, it was really slow. About 27,000 data join 9,000,000 data cost 10+ min, and it always time out.

So I want to use Impala to do this, but the question is, I search for one table cost 5 seconds with

select * from ods_tmp_hbase_base_event limit 10;

How can solve the join problem? Can I use presto to search phoenix?
