모바일 장치(mobile 裝置)는 주머니에 쏙 들어갈만한 크기의 컴퓨터 장치로, 일반적으로 터치 입력을 가진 표시 화면이나 소형 자판을 갖고 있다. 모바일 기기, 휴대용 기기, 모바일 디바이스(mobile device)라는 용어도 통용된다. PDA의 경우 입출력이 모두 터치 스크린 인터페이스에 있다. 스마트폰과 PDA는 전통적인 컴퓨터의 편리함과 도움이 필요하면서도 컴퓨터를 갖고 다니기 현실적으로 쉽지 않은 사람들에게 인기가 있다.
