I am having an intermittent error.
I am writing a producer-consumer pattern where I would create multiple processes, and add them to a list.
consumers = []
for i in range(cpu_count()):
p = Process(target=self.__execute_process, args=(queue, lock))
# This is critical! The consumer function has an infinite loop
# Which means it will never exit unless we set daemon to true
p.daemon = True
consumers.append(p)
Then, I would start all of them.
for c in consumers:
c.start()
pass
After I am done pushing jobs to the Queue object. I would join all of them with a log statement.
for c in consumers: # to check if all consumers are done processing it
self._logger.info('joining consumers: . exit_code: '.format(c.pid, c.exitcode))
c.join()
pass
Sometimes, 1 of the processes has the exit_code of -9. I tried to add capture all exceptions with BaseException, but none of them are captured.
When I googled it, I couldn't find anything about them. Has anyone experienced anything similar?
