I've got this animation to pulse some text from dark to light. It works when I load/refresh the site, but if I leave the tab open for a while and come back, it no longer pulses smoothly–instead blinking discretely as if there were no smooth transition. This seems to only happen on Safari. Any ideas?

.accordion input[type='radio']:checked + label
animation: pulse 3s infinite;
color: $white;

@keyframes pulse
0%
opacity: .3;
text-shadow: 0px 0px 5px white;

50%
opacity: 1;
text-shadow: 0x 0px 5px white;

100%
opacity: .3;
text-shadow: 0px 0px 5px white;
