I am trying to create a db structure using multiple schemas. I am now at the point where I need to link my User table (authentication schema) to my TrafficArea table (assets schema). However when generating the migrations it is trying to create the User table in the assets schema.

I have set up the following so far

AssetsContext.cs - OnModelCreating()

modelBuilder.HasDefaultSchema("assets");

modelBuilder.Entity<TrafficArea>()
.HasMany(tm => tm.TransportManagers) // This is ICollection<User>
.WithMany(u => u.TrafficAreas)
.Map(tatm =>

 tatm.MapLeftKey("TrafficAreaId");
 tatm.MapRightKey("UserId");
 tatm.ToTable("TrafficAreaTransportManagers", "assets");
);

AuthenticationContext.cs - OnModelCreating()

modelBuilder.HasDefaultSchema("authentication");

When running the migration I get the following attempting to run

How do I ensure that the User table isn't recreated on the assets schema.

I have attempted to manually change the migration script to ensure it points to the authentication.User table like so:

.Index(t => t.TrafficAreaId)
.Index(t => t.UserId);

AddForeignKey("assets.TrafficAreaTransportManagers", "UserId", "authentication.User", "Id");

but this errors at run time:
