I am a novice in this topic, which I why I ask: I used to use a website where I could - among other - things search a database. Now this website is in maintenance showing only a page stating it.
Is it correct to assume that despite this the database is still on that server (at the same location)?
Would it be possible to communicate (make inquiries) with the database via a command line tool if I where able to find the link or something? of that database of the former version of the website using the wayback machine?
