I have an excel file with some cells being formated (e.g. background-color is yellow). I want to parse every cell of my excel file in python and check whether each cell has been formatted or not.
And if not, call some function.
I tried to look at the documentation https://xlsxwriter.readthedocs.io/worksheet.html but could not find how to check if a cell is formatted or what is the cell format.
Here is the code I use to parse my excel cells:
import pandas as pd
import xlsxwriter
import xlrd
workbook = xlsxwriter.Workbook('output.xlsx')
wb = xlrd.open_workbook('input.xlsx')
# get sheet names
snames = wb.sheet_names()
print('sheets = '.format(snames))
for sname in snames:
worksheet = workbook.add_worksheet(sname)
df = pd.read_excel('input.xlsx', sheet_name=sname, header=None)
for column in df.columns:
print('*****')
col_idx = df.columns.get_loc(column)
for i, row in enumerate(df[column]):
print('row nb = , row col = '.format(i, col_idx))
if is_formatted(row):
# call some function
workbook.close()
How would look is_formatted()
function like ?
Thank you
python pandas xlsxwriter
