The dataset on which I am applying Naive bayes has some missing values in it. which is leading to zero conditional probability of certain classes wrt some attributes. I am applying the gaussian method to calculate the conditional probabilities. I am calculating the mean and standard deviation for each attribute wrt to each class. Due to some missing values the sd and mean is zero which is making conditional probability zero and in turn the overall probability for class is getting zero. Should I apply laplace smoothing/ m-estimate approach here?
