My React project is a Springboot project.
I have a index.jsp pointing to the PROD build of the React app.
<%@include file="/app/build/index.html"%>
However, I also have the following code in there.
<div style="display:none">
<sec:authorize access="isAuthenticated()">
<input type="text" name="username" value="<sec:authentication property="principal.username"/>" ref="username">
</sec:authorize>
</div>
In regular HTML, this will look like...
<div style="display:none">
<sec:authorize access="isAuthenticated()">
<input type="text" name="username" value="USER" ref="username">
</sec:authorize>
</div>
In my react code I am doing the following..
constructor(props)
super(props);
this.username = React.createRef();
this.state = .....
Finally, inside of componentDidMount()
I have console.log(this.username.value);
but its coming back as undefined
.
What did I do wrong?
