I have a python3 script that I want to execute in the background on my ubuntu system.

I tried the

nohup python3 msg_forwarder.py > my_output.log &

and

nohup python3 msg_forwarder.py &

After running the command, the terminal outputs

[1] 6045
root@1vcpu-1gb-sgp1-01:~/signal# nohup: ignoring input and redirecting stderr to stdout

then when I entered in the terminal, the process is stopped with outputs like

[1]+ Exit 1 nohup python3 msg_forwarder.py > my_output.log
