I am creating an Augmented Reality app using Unity3D. I would like to attach buttons to the parent (business card). I don't want the buttons on the card, but just below, the whole card will play video once button is pressed. I have tried to attach the buttons and canvas to the plane that will play the video, but when I build the buttons they are fixed to the screen, which is what I don't want or there somewhere in mid space. How can I fix this?

I am using unity/ARkit.

  • I dont know if ARKit supports this but you can use virtual buttons from Vuforia which is a bit different but solve your problem in a better way.

  • Thank your reply Ali. I should have mentioned I know this can be done in vuforia easily but I am trying do do this without using any third party

  • I just want two buttons to be anchored to a 3d plane, maybe i can try to anchor two objects and attach scripts to them to play and open Url. Not an expert in coding any scripts would be appreciated.
