I am using Jupyter to run Python code from web browser. It runs one cell at a time. My python code looks like this
spark.sql('''
select * from table
''').toPandas()
Ideally, I would like to only write sql in the cell. Mutliple sql statements at a time. Then select one sql statement, hit run key, the custom magic wrap the sql query in the spark.sql(''' ''')
syntax and submit to the server. This will improve my efficiency.
Thanks for any suggestions.

I am now able to use %%html code to create a textarea below the current cell and listen to F8 key, if F8 is pressed, the selected text (python code) in textarea is captured in the javascript variable. But how do I submit this piece of python code to server to run?
