There are lot of great names from most senior Manto, Mehdi Hassan, Edhi to F. Wahab who passed away recently. Most of them deserve all the praise and recognition that we can offer for their long services and work. Kudos to these national heroes and it is only fair that they should be recognized even some are awarded very late. Better late than never! Let us see how some find faults with this decision by the govt.

Why the name of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad is not included in the Pride of Performance Awards?
He was the one who should have been given the award after Pakistan broke into two parts in 1971.
Not a single word of his prediction which he made before the creation of Pakistan has gone wrong.
I would request the government of Pakistan to include the name of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad for Nishan-i-Imtiaz posthumous award which should be handover on March 23, 2013 after finding one his legal heirs wherever he or she is living in the world.

Well done Mr President, however there are some black spots in the award list.Giving an award to the Vice Chancellor of KP Agriculture university is a great injustice to the other deserving people. The said V.C. brought the university to the brink of default and is unable to pay the salaries of the employees. He has employed hundreds of his relatives and the university is busy in contesting legal cases of the professors. The academic atmosphere of the university which was established with massive financial assistance (55 million dollars) of the U.S.govt under TIPAN has been mercilessly destroyed.Awarding such people,we are giving a very wrong message to the future donors in education sector.Ironically the V.C. was called several times by the Assembly finance committee to explain his misdeeds. It would be appropriate to mention that the Finance Director of the university considered it appropriate to move to some other university because he could not cope with his corruption(He went on deputation to Hazara University)
