Is there a way to set execution timeout for imageresizing.net plugin, so requests are dropped if operations take too long?

I've tried with custom intercept module, but it did not work.

Is there a way to set execution timeout for imageresizing.net plugin, so requests are dropped if operations take too long?

I've tried with custom intercept module, but it did not work.
