I'm trying to find the creation date of a csv file uploaded in Shiny.

I've tried 'file.info(userFile()$datapath)$ctime' in the example below. This returns the creation date of the temp file that contains the data that was uploaded, but not the creation date of the file itself:

file.info("example.csv")$ctime

[1] "2019-01-08 18:34:47 PST"

  The meta-information for a file (including created and modified timestamps) is stored on the file-system, not in the file itself. file.info is solely a local filesystem thing, meaning it is what shiny thinks is the filesystem, not what the client browser thinks is the local filesystem.
