I am trying to come up with a strategy for standardizing the API design and construct a common Information model that is to be followed by various teams.

  • I am collecting details about various Business Entities and defining a base communication data model to be used across the teams.

  • Simultaneously I am drafting a guidelines document that has to be followed by the teams while they design their new APIs.

  • Now, I want to study various APIs that are currently in use and standardize them without impacting the business.

Is there a defined strategy to approach these activities?
