I faced this issue and fixed it by adding following component in Manifest file:
<provider
android:name="com.activeandroid.content.ContentProvider"
android:authorities="full package name"
android:enabled="true"
android:exported="false">
</provider>
It works fine on Android 8.0 but now it is crashing my app on Android 5.1 (which works fine if I remove above content provider). Can I use different manifests for Android version 5.1 and 8.0.
