I am trying to remote debug a release, managed (c#) desktop app where most assemblies weren't built with debugging information.

When I attach the debugger to the running process, and hit pause (break) it pauses fine, and the thread viewer shows the names of the functions currently being run in the various threads - this includes functions in assemblies not built with debugging info.

But no callstack is shown.

Is there a way to get the call stack? Even on just one of the threads? even if it means terminating the app?

I ask because the app has an exception handler in it that does do a stack unwind when an exception occurs and gives us a callstack. But the current issue we are trying to debug is a hang, not an exception.
